Currency Converter
Convert between 24 world currencies with live exchange rates. Instant conversion with rate display and one-click swap.
About This Tool
Currency conversion is one of the most fundamental calculations in international finance, travel, and business. Whether you are pricing products for an overseas market, planning a vacation budget, receiving a salary in a foreign currency, or just curious about exchange rates, this converter gives you instant results for 24 of the world's most traded currencies.
The converter pulls exchange rates from our database when available, with hardcoded approximate rates as a reliable fallback. Rates are expressed relative to the US dollar (USD) as the base currency, and cross-rates between any two currencies are computed automatically. You simply enter an amount, select the source and target currencies, and the converted amount appears instantly.
The tool displays both the direct exchange rate and the inverse rate. For example, if you are converting USD to EUR, you will see both "1 USD = 0.92 EUR" and "1 EUR = 1.09 USD." This is particularly useful when you need to think about the conversion in both directions -- a common requirement when traveling or negotiating prices.
The swap button between the currency selectors lets you instantly reverse the conversion direction with one click. This is handy when you want to check both sides of a transaction, or when you realize you entered the currencies in the wrong order.
Our currency list covers 24 currencies representing the world's largest economies and most active foreign exchange markets. This includes the major reserve currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF), commodity currencies (AUD, CAD, NZD), major Asian currencies (CNY, JPY, KRW, SGD, HKD), European currencies outside the Eurozone (SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, CZK, CHF), and key emerging-market currencies (BRL, MXN, INR, THB, TRY, ZAR). The United Arab Emirates dirham (AED) is included for its importance in global trade and travel.

Where Does This Data Come From?
Exchange rates are fetched from our currency_rates database table via AJAX. If the table is unavailable, hardcoded approximate rates (USD-based) are used as fallback. Cross-rates between non-USD currencies are computed by dividing their respective USD rates. Rates may be delayed and should not be used for actual financial transactions.
