Marianne Bastid-Bruguière_

Marianne Bastid-Bruguière is a French sinologist. She is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Langues et Civilisations Orientales and Peking University. From 1969, she worked for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. She has also taught at the Institut d'études politiques de Strasbourg, the École des hautes études en sciences sociales, Paris Diderot University, Harvard University, Seikei University, the University of London, and the University of Kyoto. She is a reader for The China Quarterly.
